CAP 543 ROAD TRAFFIC (VALIDATION OF COLLECTION OF FEES) ORDINANCE

　　To validate the collection, since 9 November 1995, of fees payable in respect of certain vehicles for the supply of forms of certificates of roadworthiness under the Road Traffic Ordinance.

　　Cap 543 s 1 Short title
　　
　　This Ordinance may be cited as the Road Traffic (Validation of Collection of Fees) Ordinance.
　　
　　Cap 543 s 2 Interpretation
　　
　　In this Ordinance, the expressions "car testing centre" (车辆测试中心), "certificate of roadworthiness" (车辆宜于道路上使用证明书) and "proprietor" (东主) have the meanings assigned to them in section 88A of the Road Traffic Ordinance (Cap 374).
　　
　　Cap 543 s 3 Validation of collection of fees payable for supply of form of certificate of roadworthiness
　　
　　Notwithstanding the resolution made and passed by the Legislative Council on 2 November 1995, and published in the Gazette as Legal Notice No. 513 of 1995, the fee specified in columns 2 and 3 of the Schedule paid by any proprietor of a car testing centre under section 88C(3)(b)(ii) of the Road Traffic Ordinance (Cap 374) for the supply of a form of a certificate of roadworthiness in respect of a private car or light goods vehicle during the periods specified in column 1 of that Schedule, is deemed to have been the fee payable for the purposes of that section for those periods.
